When we made the difficult decision to become a private team, we gained independence—but lost our financial safety net. At the time our school lacked a concreate robotics program, so we ventured out on our own with big hopes and dreams.
We learned quickly that dreams are expensive. Registration fees, competition materials, travel costs to tournaments across the country. Our budget evaporated faster than we anticipated, and suddenly we were scrambling to keep our team alive.

Last season, through the incredible generosity of Covert Instruments, whose logo proudly adorns our robot and team merchandise, we covered the $800 registration fee for the US Open. When we qualified for the World Championships in Dallas, we faced our biggest challenge yet: over $3,000 in registration, travel, and housing costs.
So we did what we had to do. We created a GoFundMe. We walked door-to-door for three weeks with flyers, knocking on neighbors' doors and explaining our mission. Thanks to kind strangers, dedicated community members, as well as our friend and family who believed in us, we raised just over $2,500, barely enough to get us there. And it was worth it. We became the only team from all of Eastern Missouri to compete at the world championship level.
VEX World Championships comes to STL!
This season, the World Championships are coming to our backyard in St. Louis in May and will be the perfect opportunity to show the world what we can do once again. But we still face significant expenses: registration fees, competition materials, team equipment, and local logistics. Without financial support, we risk missing the opportunity of a lifetime: competing for a world championship in our own city. So we need your help to get us there, by clicking the links below you can either donate to our GoFundMe or Email us as a sponsor to put your logo on our robot.
